About Galene Studios
My career in media production is distinguished by a fascination with images and storytelling, both in photography and videography. I prefer to work collaboratively with organizations and, when possible, the subjects of a story because it produces stronger more meaningful products that better meet the needs of an organization and their audience.
I bring a broad range of experience to projects as an independent producer, network cameraperson, and a professional and fine arts photographer. These experiences allow me to bring many skills to a project. I have photographed for numerous museum exhibits and publications, including a major traveling exhibit for Cornell University’s Migrant Program; produced more than twenty short-form documentaries for various not-for-profit organizations including several programs for the Philip Johnson Glass House; and worked as a Director of Photography and Cameraperson on many documentaries, including eighteen for Court TV (now tru TV).
I enjoy working with students who often bring community resources and great enthusiasm and energy to projects. At the Cleveland School of the Arts, I conducted video production workshops and collaborated with department heads and photo-graphy, drama, music, and creative writing students on two feature-shorts for film festivals. I have also conducted artist residencies in digital editing for fine art photography and presented my fine art work to high school and college students.
