These photographs were taken over a ten day trip through central and southern Peru. When I was six, my family lived in Lima Peru for six months while my father helped design a trade show for the U.S. Department of Commerce. On my return trip in the Winter of 2008, I was surprised to find much of what I saw looked familiar and unchanged, yet the people and country had a distinctly modern and lively character. I saw a vitality in how the past and present mix in the people and places of Peru.
